System compatibility

MVI69L-MBS belongs to ProSoft MVI69L series module.

It plugs directly into Rockwell CompactLogix 1769 rack,compatible with 1769 backplane,applicable for firmware version V16 and above.

MicroLogix 1500 is not supported.

It enables CompactLogix to communicate with Modbus serial field instruments,transmitters and RTU devices for small-scale automation projects and OEM machine applications.

Suitable for factory,water treatment and energy control system renovation and spare replacement.

Function

Single serial port can be set to Modbus master or slave.

Master mode supports up to 30 Modbus polling commands.

Supports Modbus RTU with CRC16 check and Modbus ASCII with LRC check.

Baud rate ranges from 110 to 115200,supports 7/8 data bits,1/2 stop bits,odd/even/no parity.

Supports Enron/Daniel floating point data.

I/O data exchange up to 240 words,data mapped to CompactLogix controller memory via backplane.

Equipped with AOI add-on instruction and UDT data type for rapid project integration.

Installation

Insert module into 1769 chassis backplane,wire serial cable for P1 port.

Select RS232/RS422/RS485 mode,configure Modbus command list in ProSoft Configuration Builder.

Import AOI into Studio5000,download project through RSLinx,check LED indicators after power-up.
