MVI46-MCM belongs to ProSoft MVI46 series module.It plugs directly into Rockwell SLC500 rack,compatible with SLC 5/02 and above processors with M0/M1 file capability,suitable for connecting SLC500 PLC to Modbus serial sensors,transmitters and meters,legacy automation system renovation and spare replacement.

Function

Each of the two serial ports can be independently set as Modbus master or slave.It realizes bidirectional register data exchange between SLC500 and Modbus devices,supports complete Modbus function codes.Data is mapped to SLC500 controller memory via backplane.

Installation

Insert module into SLC500 chassis backplane,wire RS232/422/485 serial bus,select interface mode via jumpers,configure port parameters and register mapping via ProSoft Configuration Builder,download project through RSLinx,check LED indicators after power-up.
