It collects 115VAC field digital status signals and transmits safety data to the safety controller, supports data interconnection with APACS+ DCS system.

FunctionThis IDM discrete input module acquires 115VAC on/off status signals from field safety switches, contactors and interlock devices. It performs safety signal diagnosis, detects open circuit and short circuit faults of field wiring, and sends digital status and diagnostic information to QUADLOG safety controller via backplane safety bus. It is used for safety interlock, emergency shutdown and process safety status monitoring in SIS system.

InstallationPower off the rack chassis before installation. Insert the module into MODULRAC rack slot and lock the latch, ensure backplane connector fully engaged. Connect ribbon cable between module and marshalled termination assembly, wire 115VAC field contact signals to terminal block. Configure channel parameters through QUADLOG engineering software, verify input status reading and fault diagnosis function before online running.
