OPTIMATION PTC-5800 8-Slot Rack

Module Feature

OPTIMATION PTC-5800 is an 8-slot passive backplane rack compatible with OptiLogic I/O modules. It provides 8 standard slots for hot-plug OL series digital input, relay output and analog modules. The passive backplane distributes DC power and parallel logic bus between all inserted cards. 19-inch rack mount / DIN rail optional mounting structure, robust metal housing with anti-corrosion coating. Widely deployed for semiconductor wet bench and chemical fluid delivery control cabinet.

Working principle: The passive backplane routes power and signal bus to each module slot. It has no onboard CPU; all logic and communication functions are handled by installed OptiLogic RTU and I/O cards. The metal frame provides mechanical support and electromagnetic shielding for I/O modules. Function

PTC-5800 8-slot rack manufactured by OPTIMATION. It serves as mechanical and passive signal carrier for multi-point I/O system. Bent backplane pins or dirty edge connectors will cause intermittent module communication failure. It is a modular rack assembly component for wet process automation control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off control cabinet. Mount chassis on 19” rack or DIN rail. Insert I/O modules into slots and lock latches. Wire 24VDC power terminal. Install blank filler plates for unused slots before production startup.

Diagnostic

Module intermittent:Dirty or damaged edge connector on backplane. No power to slot:Loose power terminal wiring. Module not detected:Bent pin on backplane connector. Excess noise:Missing blank filler plate on empty slot.
