OPTIMATION OL4058RA Rugged RTU Base

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL4058RA is the ruggedized coated version of OL4058 OptiLogic 8-slot Remote Terminal Unit base chassis. Main control PCB is applied with protective conformal coating, resisting chemical vapor, moisture and dust inside semiconductor wet bench cabinets. It supports hot-plug OL series I/O modules, integrated 10BaseT Ethernet communication with OptiLogic/UDP and IPX protocols. Internal backplane provides 2.8A@5V power supply for all inserted I/O cards. DIN rail metal housing, allows flexible mixing of digital input, relay output and analog modules. Widely deployed for wet bench and chemical fluid delivery distributed control systems with corrosive ambient.

Working principle: The backplane supplies power and high-speed internal bus communication for all installed I/O modules. It collects field sensor data from I/O cards, packages data and transmits to host controller over Ethernet. It receives host control commands and distributes signals to each I/O module. The conformal coating protects circuit board from humidity and chemical vapour corrosion. Function

OL4058RA rugged RTU base manufactured by OPTIMATION. It is 8-slot distributed I/O rack designed for harsh wet bench environment. The conformal coating extends service life under corrosive atmosphere. Poor backplane contact or wrong IP settings will cause module offline and communication loss. It is heavy-duty remote I/O chassis for chemical delivery automation control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Mount chassis on DIN rail. Insert I/O modules into empty slots and lock latches. Wire 8-30VDC power and Ethernet cable. Configure network parameters and test all I/O channels before production startup. Install OL0001 blank filler card for unused slots.

Diagnostic

No Ethernet link:IP address mismatch or cable fault. Module undetected:Damaged edge connector or poor backplane contact. Intermittent I/O signals:Vibration causing loose module seating. Rack power alarm:Overload or loose power wiring.
