OPTIMATION OM420 OptiMate HMI Operator Terminal

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OM420 belongs to OptiMate series compact operator terminal. It is equipped with 2×20 character backlit LCD screen and 4 customizable function keys. Supports display of floating point, binary and BCD numeric data, can store up to 160 predefined alarm and status messages. Front panel cutout mounting design, supports RS232 serial communication, compatible with multiple mainstream PLC brands. Widely used for semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control cabinet for process monitoring and manual operation.

Working principle: It communicates with host PLC or OptiLogic RTU via RS232 serial bus. Reads real-time process variables and alarm information and displays on LCD. Operator presses function keys to send operation commands back to the controller. Custom text labels can be inserted behind front panel key cover. Function

OM420 operator terminal manufactured by OPTIMATION. It serves as human machine interface for wet process automation system. Membrane keypad aging or serial parameter mismatch may cause key failure or no data display. It is compact HMI component for chemical delivery control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off control system. Install unit into cabinet panel cutout and lock mounting clips. Connect 24V DC power and RS232 communication cable. Download configuration project and test communication function before production startup.

Diagnostic
