Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL4054 is OptiLogic series 4-slot modular Remote Terminal Unit, wide DC input range 8~30VDC. NSMP stands for No Supplier Minimum Purchase, commercial inventory marking without minimum order quantity constraint. Metal DIN rail housing, supporting hot-plug OptiLogic I/O modules. Equipped with 10BaseT 10Mbps Ethernet interface for OptiLogic/UDP and IPX communication, plus RS232 serial port for local configuration and OptiMate HMI connection. Internal backplane provides 2.8A @5V power supply for all installed I/O cards. The system can auto detect inserted module types and slot positions. Unused slots can be fitted with OL0001 blank filler cards to preserve airflow and EMC shielding. Widely used in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control cabinet for distributed signal acquisition and discrete control.

Working principle: The backplane provides stable 5V power and parallel bus communication for all inserted I/O modules. It collects analog and digital signals from field sensors, transmits process data to host controller over Ethernet, and receives control commands to drive output modules. RS232 port supports local debugging and serial connection to OptiMate communication gateway.

Function

OL4054 RTU base manufactured by OPTIMATION. It forms distributed I/O control system by installing analog input, digital I/O and communication modules. Poor backplane contact or incorrect IP address will cause module offline and communication interruption. NSMP is commercial remark, no minimum order requirement. It is core modular rack for wet bench automation control system.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Mount chassis on DIN rail, insert I/O modules and lock latches, fit OL0001 filler cards on unused slots. Wire 8~30VDC power and Ethernet cable. Configure network parameters and test all I/O channels before commissioning.

Diagnostic

No Ethernet communication:IP address mismatch,cable damage or network fault. Module not detected:Damaged edge connector or poor module seating. Intermittent signal:Ground loop interference or high power cable crosstalk. Rack power alarm:Overload or loose DC wiring.
