OPTIMATION OL2408 Analog Input Module

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL2408 belongs to OptiLogic series 8-channel analog voltage input module. It is 14-bit high resolution A/D converter card, each channel configurable for 0-5VDC or 0-10VDC field voltage signal. Built-in signal filtering and surge protection, per-channel LED status indicator, removable terminal block. Standard OptiLogic form factor, plug directly into OL4054, OL4228 OptiLogic RTU rack. Widely used for pressure, level, temperature and flow transmitter signal collection in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control systems.

Working principle: Raw analog voltage signal from field transmitter enters the module, low noise filter removes workshop interference, 14-bit ADC converts analog signal into digital value, data is sent to RTU mainboard via backplane bus for host controller reading. Onboard components: 8-channel 14-bit ADC chips, noise filter circuit, surge protection PCB, removable terminal block, backplane edge connector, front panel per-channel LED indicators

Function

OL2408 analog input module manufactured by OPTIMATION. It measures analog voltage signals from field process transmitters. High resolution ADC provides precise reading for fluid pressure, flow and liquid level. Wiring short or surge may damage input circuit. It is high precision analog acquisition component for wet process automation control rack.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Insert module into empty rack slot and lock latches. Wire field transmitter cables to removable terminal block, plug terminal back into module. Configure signal range and calibrate all channels before production startup.

Diagnostic

Analog reading drift:Ground loop interference or sensor wiring resistance. No reading:Field wiring open or channel circuit damage. Fluctuating value:Missing signal shielding or electrical noise. Module not detected:Poor backplane contact.
