OPTIMATION OL2208 Digital Input Module

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL2208 belongs to OptiLogic series 8-channel DC digital input module. Each channel is equipped with independent optocoupler isolation, supports 10~30VDC field signal, works in sourcing or sinking mode. Removable pluggable terminal block, individual LED status indicator for each channel. Standard OptiLogic form factor, plug directly into OL4228 and other OptiLogic RTU rack. Widely used to collect limit switch, level sensor and safety interlock signals for semiconductor wet process and chemical delivery systems.

Working principle: Field 10-30VDC discrete signal passes optocoupler isolation circuit, converts field signal into internal logic signal, transmits digital status data to RTU mainboard through backplane bus. Function

OL2208 digital input module manufactured by OPTIMATION. It collects on/off status from field sensors and safety interlock switches. Optocoupler provides isolation to reduce ground loop noise. Damaged opto-element or loose terminal wiring will cause false trigger or missing signal. It is standard discrete input component for wet bench automation control rack.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Insert module into empty rack slot and lock mounting latches. Wire field sensor cables to removable terminal block, plug terminal back to module. Test all 8 input channels before production startup.

Diagnostic

False input trigger: Electrical noise or ground loop interference. Channel no response: Open field wiring or optocoupler failure. Intermittent signal: Loose screw terminal connection. Module not detected: Poor backplane contact.
