Module Feature

OPTIMATION INC OL4054 is OptiLogic series 4-slot Remote Terminal Unit base chassis, manufactured by OPTIMATION INC. It supports hot-plug OL series I/O modules, built-in 10BaseT Ethernet communication supporting OptiLogic/UDP and IPX protocols, additionally equipped with RS232 serial port for local configuration and operator panel connection. The internal backplane provides 2.8A@5V power supply for all inserted I/O cards. Compact metal DIN rail housing, users can freely combine digital input, relay output and analog input modules. Widely used for small footprint semiconductor wet bench and compact chemical fluid delivery distributed control systems.

Working principle: The backplane provides power and internal bus communication for all installed I/O modules. It collects discrete and analog field sensor data from I/O cards, transmits data to host controller over Ethernet, and receives host control commands to drive field actuators. The RS232 port supports firmware upgrade and local HMI connection. OL4054 RTU base manufactured by OPTIMATION INC. It serves as compact remote I/O rack for small-scale process control expansion. Poor backplane contact or incorrect network IP configuration will lead to module offline and signal loss. It is core small capacity distributed I/O chassis for wet process automation control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Mount chassis on DIN rail. Insert I/O modules into empty slots and lock latches. Wire 8-30VDC power and Ethernet cable. Configure network parameters and test all I/O channels before production startup. Install OL0001 blank filler card for unused slots.

Diagnostic
