It performs Layer2 switching, VLAN, STP/RSTP, QoS traffic scheduling, ACL filtering and IPv4/IPv6 Layer3 routing. It supports link aggregation and SummitStack stacking. It monitors port link status, PoE power consumption, transceiver optical power, fan speed and internal temperature. It triggers alarm for port down, PoE overload, over-temperature or power module failure. Used to replace defective high-density PoE aggregation switches.

InstallationPower off chassis before installation. Mount switch in 19-inch rack. Install SFP+ transceivers into uplink slots. Connect power, Ethernet cables and console cable. Configure ExtremeXOS, VLAN and PoE power profile. Verify port link, PoE allocation and network traffic before putting into production.
