System compatibility
Summit X250e-24X belongs to X250e legacy edge switch family. Compatible with 100BASE-X SFP transceivers and 1G SFP uplink modules. Can stack with other X250e series switches. External EPS-160 redundant power supply supported. This is end-of-sale fiber access model, used for maintenance replacement of old fiber campus networks.
Function
Summit X250e-24X is 1U stackable Fast Fiber access switch for legacy enterprise campus. 24 SFP slots accept 100M fiber transceivers to connect remote endpoints over fiber. Two combo gigabit ports provide flexible uplink choice over copper or fiber. Dedicated SummitStack ports merge multiple switches into one management domain to simplify configuration. Supports 802.1X user authentication and hardware QoS for voice and video traffic. External redundant power interface improves network uptime. Widely deployed for old campus, factory workshop and building interconnection fiber access layer spare replacement.
InstallationFollow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Connect AC power cord. Insert 100M SFP transceivers for access ports and 1G SFP for uplink if needed. Deploy SummitStack cable for multi-unit stacking. Access serial console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, ACL and QoS policy. Verify stack synchronization and port connectivity after power-up.
