System compatibility

Summit X250e-48p belongs to X250e legacy edge switch family. Compatible with 1G SFP transceivers. Can stack with other X250e series switches. Function

Summit X250e-48p is 1U stackable Fast Ethernet PoE access switch for legacy enterprise campus. 48 PoE ports deliver power and data for IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras. Two combo gigabit ports provide flexible uplink choice over copper or fiber. Dedicated SummitStack ports merge multiple switches under a single management domain. Supports 802.1X user authentication and hardware QoS for voice priority traffic. External EPS-600LS power module unlocks full power budget for all PoE ports. Widely deployed for old office, school and hospital legacy PoE access layer spare replacement.

InstallationFollow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Connect AC power cord. Install EPS-600LS external PSU if full PoE capacity required. Insert SFP transceiver if fiber uplink is needed. Deploy SummitStack cable for multi-unit stacking. Access serial console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, ACL and QoS policy. Verify stack synchronization and port connectivity after power-up.
