FunctionSK8008-1224 is a high-density S180 10G I/O line card for S-series modular chassis switches. It provides 24×10G SFP+ ports for server access, inter-switch uplink and aggregation layer connectivity. It supports wire-speed Layer2 switching, Layer3 routing, MACsec encryption, access control lists, quality of service, IPv4/IPv6 multicast and security policies. It monitors port link state, SFP+ DDM optical parameters, module temperature and power consumption, and sends hardware fault alarms to the chassis supervisor. Used for high-density 10G server and aggregation access in data centers.

InstallationHot-swappable replacement. Insert SK8008-1224 into empty I/O slot of S4/S6/S8 chassis. Tighten captive screws. Insert SFP+ transceivers and fiber/DAC cables. Verify module online and port optical link status on EOS before putting into production.
