Function40GB-LR4-QSFP is a 4-channel CWDM4 optical transceiver. It multiplexes four 10G lanes into one 40G optical signal for transmission over single-mode fiber. It supports DDM to monitor transmit optical power, receive power, module temperature and supply voltage. It triggers alarms for optical signal loss, over-temperature or module fault. Used to replace faulty 40G LR4 optical modules for long-distance 40G fiber links.

InstallationPower off chassis before installation. Insert 40GB-LR4-QSFP into the switch QSFP+ slot. Connect duplex LC single-mode fiber to the module port. Verify module recognition on ExtremeXOS/VOSS, check optical power and port link status before putting into production.
