System compatibilityBW147-T is SEW BW-T series braking resistor with built-in thermal sensor. Compatible with MOVIDRIVE MDX60B, MDX61B servo drives and MOVITRAC B inverters. Widely used for packaging machinery, medium conveyor and material handling equipment, legacy SEW drive system maintenance and spare replacement.

FunctionThis ceramic core wire-wound braking resistor consumes regenerative energy generated by motor deceleration. When DC bus voltage rises, drive internal brake chopper activates and releases excess energy through this resistor to suppress overvoltage fault. Integrated temperature sensor for overtemperature monitoring, sensor signal can be wired to drive fault input. Ceramic terminal design for high voltage stable connection.

InstallationPower off the drive DC bus before installation. Mount BW147-T vertically inside control cabinet, keep enough air circulation. Separate high voltage braking power cables and low voltage thermal signal wiring. Connect power terminals to drive brake port X3 (+R/-R). Wire built-in thermal sensor terminals to drive digital fault input. Test braking response and thermal alarm function after wiring.
