System compatibilityBW100-006 is SEW BW series wire-wound braking resistor. Compatible with MOVIDRIVE MDX60B, MDX61B servo drives and MOVITRAC B inverters. Widely used for packaging machinery, medium conveyor equipment, legacy SEW drive system maintenance and spare replacement.

FunctionThis wire-wound braking resistor consumes regenerative energy generated by motor deceleration. When DC bus voltage rises, the drive internal brake chopper activates and releases excess energy through this resistor to suppress overvoltage fault. Terminal block connection design, requires external thermal protection relay for overheat monitoring.

InstallationPower off the drive DC bus before installation. Mount BW100-006 vertically inside control cabinet, keep enough air circulation. Separate high voltage braking cables and low voltage control wiring. Connect resistor terminals to drive brake port X3 (+R/-R). Configure external thermal relay for overtemperature protection. Test braking function after wiring.
