Module Feature

Sanyo Denki BL900M is BL series high-efficiency DC brushless motor. It adopts permanent magnet brushless design, eliminating carbon brush wear problem for long service life. Built-in hall position sensor for speed and position feedback. Features high torque density, low heat generation and low running noise. Compact housing, excellent shock and vibration resistance. Widely applied in semiconductor automation, conveying equipment and precision industrial transmission systems.

Working principle

The matched brushless driver supplies DC power to the stator winding. The hall sensor detects rotor position in real time and sends signals to the drive. The driver commutates current electronically to drive permanent magnet rotor to rotate. Closed-loop control realizes stable speed and torque output. Internal protection circuit triggers shutdown when overcurrent or overtemperature fault occurs to protect motor assembly.

Onboard components

Permanent magnet rotor, stator winding, hall position sensor, front/rear bearing set, motor housing, shaft oil seal, power and signal terminal connector.

LED indicators

No onboard LED indicators; working status and fault codes are displayed on matched brushless driver panel.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Visual inspection of motor housing, shaft surface and connectors; winding continuity and insulation resistance test; hall sensor signal check; bearing noise inspection; feedback signal verification with matched driver.

Programming software

Sanyo Denki SANMOTION setup software for parameter configuration, speed gain tuning and fault log reading.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off all power supply completely. Fix motor via flange mounting, align coupling properly to avoid radial and axial overload. Connect power cable and hall feedback cable to brushless driver. Set parameters via SANMOTION software, perform trial rotation and performance verification before formal operation.

Diagnostic

Motor no rotation: No DC power supply, reversed wiring or hall sensor failure. Overload alarm: Excessive mechanical load, coupling jam or mechanical stuck. No speed feedback: Damaged signal cable or hall sensor damage. Overtemperature alarm: Continuous heavy load operation, poor heat dissipation or bearing failure. Insulation fault: Damaged stator winding or cable insulation aging.
