Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL4054RB is the ruggedized coated version of OL4054 OptiLogic 4-slot modular Remote Terminal Unit base chassis. RB stands for Ruggedized Base, the mainboard PCB with protective conformal coating for resisting moisture, chemical vapor and dust in harsh cabinet environment. It supports hot-plug OptiLogic I/O modules, equipped with 10BaseT 10Mbps Ethernet supporting OptiLogic/UDP and IPX protocols, plus RS232 serial port for local configuration and HMI connection. Built-in backplane provides 2.8A@5V power supply for all installed I/O cards. NSMP means New Surplus Manufacturer Package, new spare with original factory packaging. Widely used for semiconductor wet bench and chemical fluid delivery distributed control systems with corrosive atmosphere.

Working principle: The internal backplane supplies stable power and parallel bus communication for all inserted I/O modules. It collects analog and discrete field signals from I/O cards, transmits data to host controller via Ethernet, and receives control commands to drive field actuators. The conformal coating protects base PCB from chemical vapour and humidity in wet bench cabinet. RS232 port supports firmware upgrade and local operator panel connection. Function

OL4054RB rugged RTU base manufactured by OPTIMATION. It is designed for wet bench harsh environment. Conformal coating reduces risk of PCB corrosion. Poor backplane contact or wrong IP setting leads to module offline and communication interruption. NSMP version is surplus new spare with original manufacturer package. It is core modular I/O chassis for corrosive wet process automation control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Mount chassis on DIN rail. Insert I/O modules into empty slots and lock latches. Wire 8-30VDC power and Ethernet cable. Configure network parameters and test all I/O channels before production startup. Install OL0001 blank filler card for unused slots.

Diagnostic
