OPTIMATION O-20 Communication Cable

Module Feature

OPTIMATION O-20 is OptiMate series RS422 multi-drop communication cable, 20 feet length. It is specially designed for connecting OP / OM series operator panels to OP-9001 / OM-9001-2 communication master gateway. Adopts shielded twisted pair construction to suppress electromagnetic interference inside electrical cabinet. Pre-terminated cable ends for fast installation. Widely used for HMI serial network wiring in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control systems.

Working principle: O-20 cable transmits RS422 differential serial signals between communication master and each HMI panel. Shield layer reduces ground noise and electromagnetic interference, guarantee stable multi-drop bus data transmission. Function

O-20 communication cable manufactured by OPTIMATION. It is used for serial bus connection between communication master and OptiMate HMI panels. Cable breakage or poor shielding will cause intermittent communication faults. It is dedicated wiring accessory for wet bench multi-operator panel network.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off control cabinet. Route O-20 cable, connect both end connectors to gateway and HMI terminals. Fix cable and avoid running parallel with high power AC cable. Test communication after wiring completed.

Diagnostic

No communication:Cable wire broken or connector loose. Intermittent communication:Shield disconnected or routed beside high power cable. Short circuit:Insulation damage of cable core.
