Neptune 515 Metering Pump Unit

Module Feature

515-A-N5 belongs to PSG Neptune 500 series hydraulic diaphragm metering pump. It adopts Oil By-Pass hydraulic stroke regulation structure, stable output under changing backpressure. The adjustable stroke length can be set manually from 0% to 100%. Hydraulically balanced diaphragm design avoids direct contact between process chemical and drive mechanism. Compatible for corrosive chemical, coagulant, scale inhibitor, sodium hypochlorite and acid/alkali dosing. Simple maintenance, no stuffing box leakage risk. Widely used in water & wastewater treatment, oil & gas, power plant boiler chemical feed system.

Working principle

Motor drives eccentric cam and plunger reciprocating. Hydraulic oil pushes PTFE diaphragm forward to displace chemical fluid. Excess hydraulic oil returns via bypass valve for stroke adjustment. Each reciprocating cycle delivers fixed volume of chemical liquid. Check valves on suction and discharge side control one-way fluid flow. The pump maintains consistent dosing accuracy even with moderate discharge pressure fluctuation.

Installation

Isolate chemical pipeline before installation. Fix Neptune 515-A-N5 pump on solid base. Connect suction tank line and discharge injection line, install backpressure valve and pulsation dampener as required. Prime pump and adjust stroke length to target dosing rate.

Diagnostic

No output flow: air binding inside pump head or suction filter blocked. Dosing unstable: insufficient backpressure or check valve worn. Diaphragm rupture alarm: chemical liquid enters hydraulic oil cavity.
