Module Feature

PH-2111 belongs to Thermo Scientific Orion Pro Star analytical instrument series. It is a high-performance benchtop pH and ORP meter designed for laboratory precision measurement. It adopts high resolution color touch LCD display, intuitive menu operation. Supports multi-point pH calibration, automatic temperature compensation, data logging and GLP compliant record storage. BNC electrode interface compatible with Orion full range of pH, ORP and RTD temperature probes. Built-in communication port for data export to PC. Compact desktop design, widely used in water quality laboratory, pharmaceutical QC, chemical research and food testing laboratory.

Working principle

The meter receives millivolt potential signal from pH glass electrode. It converts potential signal into pH value based on Nernst equation. The built-in temperature sensor provides ATC automatic temperature compensation to eliminate temperature drift error. It continuously calculates and displays pH, ORP and temperature value, stores measurement records and calibration information. Data can be uploaded to computer for report archiving.

Onboard components

Main control circuit board, color touch LCD display, membrane keypad assembly, BNC signal input socket, ATC temperature input port, communication interface, power supply module, plastic desktop cabinet.

LED indicators

Power LED, status LED. Measurement and alarm information are mainly displayed on color touch screen.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Electrode open circuit detection, calibration slope check, temperature sensor fault detection, power supply monitoring, memory integrity check.

Programming software

Thermo Orion data acquisition software, used for data downloading, report generation and instrument parameter configuration.

Installation

Place Thermo Scientific PH-2111 meter on stable horizontal laboratory bench. Connect power adapter and install matched pH electrode into BNC port. Complete multi-point buffer calibration before sample test.

Interface

BNC electrode input terminal, ATC temperature probe port, communication port, AC power inlet.

Diagnostic

Slope error alarm: electrode aging or buffer solution expired. Unstable reading: electrode contaminated or loose BNC connection. No display: power adapter failure.
