T8311C belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system and installs inside T8300 expansion rack. It works with T8310 expander processor to transmit safety signals between expander CPU and T84xx field I/O modules. It provides stronger fault containment function to restrict I/O bus faults and protect main safety controller. Widely applied in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical industries for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8311C is the upgraded expander bus gateway unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It carries out bidirectional safety data transmission between expander processor and distributed I/O modules. It adopts enhanced diagnosis algorithm to monitor bus communication quality,channel health and onboard hardware state. It isolates I/O bus faults to prevent fault propagation to main controller core safety logic,single slice failure will not shut down the whole expansion rack.

Installation

Vertically insert T8311C into dedicated interface slot of T8300 expander rack. Complete expander differential bus wiring and backplane connection. Check bus communication status and fault information through Trusted Workbench.
