System compatibility

T8170 belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system,installed inside T8100 rack. It is an independent embedded gateway,responsible for exchanging safety tags,alarm messages and sequence of events data between Trusted SIS and upper monitoring systems. Widely applied in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical industries for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8170 is the embedded gateway unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It runs OPC server to provide upper system access to safety data. It will not interfere with the safety logic running on TMR processor. Continuous self-diagnosis monitors network link,storage and hardware status. Dual redundant Ethernet prevents communication interruption caused by single link failure.

Installation

Vertically insert T8170 into dedicated gateway slot of T8100 rack. Mount T8173 adapter,complete Ethernet wiring and backplane connection. Check gateway operating state and fault information through Trusted Workbench.
