FunctionUV7SC is self-check ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It detects ultraviolet flicker radiation from combustion flame and transmits frequency-modulated flame signal to matched flame safeguard controller. The internal mechanical shutter executes automatic self-test every 10 seconds to validate scanner circuit performance. If sensor fault or runaway signal detected, it interrupts output and triggers safety lockout to avoid false flame indication. Purge air interface keeps quartz window clean from soot contamination. When flame extinguishes, flame signal disappears, burner system will shut off fuel supply for explosion protection. Widely deployed for industrial boiler and furnace flame continuous monitoring and spare replacement.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV7SC on burner sight port via 1" NPT thread. Connect purge air piping to 3/8" port, set airflow and pressure within rated range. Run specified shielded instrument cable between scanner and matched Fireye controller, install mating connector 59-504-010. Power on, execute self-check test and flame signal calibration during burner commissioning.
