FunctionUV7A4W is non self-check ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It detects ultraviolet flicker radiation from combustion flame and transmits flame signal to the matched flame safeguard amplifier. This model does not have continuous self-check function; the burner control system validates scanner health on every burner start and shutdown cycle. When flame extinguishes, flame signal disappears, the burner system cuts fuel supply to prevent explosion risk. NEMA4 housing provides good protection for humid and dusty field environments. The integrated 4ft flexible conduit simplifies wiring installation. Widely deployed for industrial boiler and furnace flame continuous monitoring and spare replacement.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV7A4W onto burner sight port through 1/2 inch FNPT insulated coupling, align quartz window toward flame. Keep viewing window clean from soot. Route the 4ft flexible conduit wiring to MBPF flame amplifier module, strictly follow Fireye wiring schematic. Execute burner cycling test and flame signal check during commissioning.
