Function

P5348-2 is flame amplifier module manufactured by Fireye. It receives low-level UV signal from flame scanner, amplifies and processes the flame signal. Internal self-check circuit verifies amplifier and sensor health continuously. When flame signal meets threshold, relay activates to send flame present signal to burner controller. If flame is lost, relay de-energizes immediately to trigger burner safety shutdown. Periodic self-check prevents false flame signal caused by component failure. Widely deployed for industrial boiler flame supervision and spare replacement.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount P5348-2 on DIN rail inside NEMA control cabinet. Wire UV flame scanner input and relay output terminals strictly follow Fireye P5348-2 wiring manual. Power on and perform flame simulation test and flame loss test during commissioning.
