System compatibilityX460-G2-48t-10GE4 belongs to Extreme Networks X460-G2 high-performance enterprise edge/aggregation family. Compatible with Extreme validated 10G SFP+ transceivers SR/LR/ER and DAC/AOC cables. It can stack with X460-G2,X590,X690 series switches. Widely used for enterprise campus building aggregation spare replacement.

FunctionX460-G2-48t-10GE4 is non-blocking wire-speed Layer3 aggregation switch. 48 gigabit copper ports connect to access switches or end terminals; four SFP+ ports provide 10G high-speed uplink towards core/spine switches or stacking. It supports wire-speed Layer2 switching,Layer3 static & dynamic routing,PTP precision time protocol,SyncE,VLAN,STP/RSTP/MSTP,LACP/MLAG,ACL,QoS and multicast snooping. It monitors optical module DDM,port link status, system temperature, power and fan health, and sends hardware fault alarms. Used for large campus building aggregation networks.

InstallationMount the switch on standard 19-inch 1U rack. Install hot-swappable power supplies and fan tray. Insert SFP+ transceivers and fiber/DAC/AOC cables. Connect console port for ExtremeXOS configuration. Verify boot, port link, stacking and routing function before commissioning.

Interface48×1G RJ45 ports,4×10G SFP+ slots,RJ45 serial console,USB console,1G out-of-band management port,status LEDs,reset button,rear VIM expansion slot,TM-CLK timing slot,dual PSU slots,fan tray,ground terminal,rack mounting ears for Extreme Networks X460-G2-48t-10GE4.

FeatureOriginal Extreme Networks X460-G2 1U rackmount high-density copper aggregation switch,48 gigabit RJ45 plus quad 10G SFP+ uplink ports,PTP/SyncE timing support,hot-swappable redundant PSU/fan,400G stacking capability,DDM optical monitoring,ExtremeXOS operating system,built-in self-diagnostic function. This spare supports enterprise campus building aggregation network deployment.

DiagnosticSwitch fails to boot: check AC power input and PSU module health. Copper port link down: inspect Cat5e/Cat6 cable quality and auto-negotiation. Fiber port no link: verify SFP+ transceiver, fiber/DAC cable and port admin status. Low optical power alarm: dirty fiber endfaces or damaged fiber cable. Transceiver undetected: confirm Extreme validated optical module and proper insertion. Over-temperature alarm: check fan tray operation and rack airflow, remove dust buildup. Stacking failure: verify matching ExtremeXOS firmware and stacking cable integrity.

Product BriefX460-G2-48t-10GE4 is Extreme Networks X460-G2 series 1U rackmount Layer3 managed aggregation switch with 48×1G RJ45 and 4×10G SFP+ uplink ports, classic spare part for enterprise campus building aggregation network overhaul.
