Function

X440-G2-24fx-G is 24-port 100BASE-FX fiber edge switch manufactured by Extreme Networks. 24 fiber ports connect remote building endpoints over multi-mode fiber. Four SFP gigabit uplink ports provide fiber connection to aggregation layer. It features wide operating temperature from 0 to 60°C, suitable for uncontrolled temperature cabinet environments. ExtremeXOS delivers complete L2 switching and basic L3 routing functions. Widely deployed for industrial park, remote campus fiber access network spare replacement.

Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch into standard 19-inch rack. Insert 100BASE-FX and 1G SFP transceivers and fiber cables. Connect AC power cord. Access console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, VLAN and ACL setup. Verify port link status after power-up.

Uplink port negotiation failure: Confirm SFP module matches port speed standard.
