Function

VSP-4900-12MXU-12XE is hybrid PoE+ aggregation switch manufactured by Extreme Networks. It supplies power and data via 12 PoE+ copper ports for wireless AP, IP cameras and VoIP phones. 12×10G SFP+ ports provide high-density 10G fiber interfaces for uplink or remote fiber access. VOSS OS delivers advanced layer3 routing, VRF and fabric virtualization capability. Hot-swappable fan and PSU support online maintenance, minimizing network outage risk. Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch into standard 19-inch rack. Install hot-swappable AC PSU and fan tray. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceivers or DAC/AOC cables. Connect Cat5e/Cat6 cables to PoE terminals. Access serial console port for VOSS initial configuration, set VLAN, PoE allocation, stacking and QoS policy. Verify port link and PoE power status after power-up.
