Function

STK-RPS-1005PS is an external redundant power supply designed for Extreme stackable PoE switches. When the switch internal PSU fails, this unit takes over power supply to keep switch and PoE powered devices running. It also can add extra PoE power budget to the switch for connecting more Wi-Fi AP, IP cameras. It adopts dedicated RPS cable connection. This unit is not hot-plug; power off both RPS and switch before wiring. Widely deployed for campus, smart building PoE access power backup.

Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Power off the switch and STK-RPS-1005PS before cabling. Connect the matched RPS cable between RPS unit and switch RPS port. Plug AC cords to RPS and switch. Power on RPS first, then power on switch. Check AC OK LED light to confirm normal input. Verify switch power and PoE status after startup.
