Products Description
Rosemount X-STREAM Enhanced Process Gas Analyzer Unit

Module Feature
X-STREAM is Emerson Rosemount Analytical enhanced continuous gas analyzer platform, including XEGP rack general-purpose, XEXF field housing and XEFD flameproof hazardous-area variants. It adopts patented IntrinzX photometric technology for high measurement stability and extended calibration intervals. The modular design allows mixing multiple measurement principles: non-dispersive infrared, ultraviolet/visible photometry, paramagnetic oxygen, thermal conductivity and electrochemical sensors. It can simultaneously measure up to five gas components such as CO, CO2, CH4, O2, NO, SO2 and moisture. Built-in web browser interface enables remote configuration, calibration and data logging. Optional sample pump, flow monitoring, pressure compensation and auto-calibration solenoid valve assemblies. Sealed field enclosure version is rated NEMA 4X / IP66, suitable for wet, dusty and offshore environments. Widely deployed for combustion optimization, flue gas emission compliance, reformer process monitoring and protective gas purity analysis.
Working principle
Gas sample flows through the optical flow cell. Optical and sensor modules capture characteristic absorption or paramagnetic signals of target gas components. Internal DSP converts raw signals into calibrated concentration values with temperature and pressure compensation. Measured values are transmitted via isolated 4-20mA analog outputs, relay alarm contacts or digital bus to DCS and PLC systems. The embedded web server stores trend data, calibration records and event logs for maintenance traceability.
Onboard components
Photometric optical bench, paramagnetic / electrochemical / TCD sensor assemblies, sample flow cell, flow and pressure sensors, sample pump option, main CPU board, isolated analog output board, Ethernet communication circuit, local LCD keypad, alarm relay module, calibration valve manifold, metal enclosure.
LED indicators
Front panel status LED for power, measurement active, fault and calibration alarm; local LCD displays gas concentration, flow status and diagnostic codes.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Self-check covers lamp degradation, sample flow loss, pressure deviation, sensor drift, internal temperature over-limit, analog output fault and communication disconnection. Fault history and calibration records are saved in internal memory.
Programming software
Local keypad configuration; built-in web page for remote access; Emerson analytical configuration software for advanced setup and log export.
