Products Description

Illumina SY-410-1003 MiSeq Sequencing System Unit

Module Feature

SY-410-1003 is the part number of Illumina MiSeq benchtop next-generation sequencing instrument. It adopts sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) principle, integrates cluster amplification, optical sequencing detection and built-in computing analysis host. It supports single-end and paired-end sequencing, maximum read length 300bp, suitable for amplicon sequencing, microbial metagenomics, gene panel, pathogen detection and small genome sequencing. It uses disposable reagent cartridge, automatic liquid flow control, built-in high-sensitivity CCD optical detection module, front touch HMI. This is a mature classic lab sequencing platform, widely stocked as maintenance spare for clinical molecular lab, university genomics laboratory and biotech institute.

Working principle

DNA library fragments are fixed on flow cell, then amplified to form gene clusters. Fluorescently labeled dNTPs are added cyclically; each base binding emits specific fluorescence signal. The optical system captures fluorescence images, the host converts optical signal into base sequence by RTA real-time analysis software. After sequencing run finished, quality filtering, alignment and variant calling are completed on the embedded computer. The system monitors fluid pressure, temperature, laser and camera status continuously during operation.

Onboard components

Flow cell loading station, reagent cartridge drive fluidics module, laser light source, high-resolution CCD optical detection unit, temperature control subsystem, embedded industrial computer, touchscreen HMI, waste liquid container, status LED array and aluminum cabinet.

LED indicators

Front touch LCD displays run progress, Q-score, yield data and fault warning codes. LED indicators: Power, Run, Error status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects fluid leak, pressure abnormal, laser attenuation, camera failure, temperature out of range and reagent shortage. Sequencing setup and data analysis are completed by Illumina MiSeq Reporter software.

Programming softwareMiSeq Reporter, used for run setup, sample sheet import, base calling, sequence alignment, variant analysis and sequencing report export.
