It receives pulse signals from field speed transducers,calculates rotational speed and acceleration values,executes overspeed and over-acceleration protection logic for rotating equipment. Function

T8442 serves as high integrity machinery speed monitoring unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It samples pulse signals from speed sensors and adopts 2oo3 TMR hardware voting to judge actual rotating speed and acceleration. It implements overspeed and over-acceleration safety trip functions for rotating assets. It supports online self-test injection to verify channel function under steady state. It supports hot swap replacement without rack power off.

Installation

Insert T8442 vertically into dedicated I/O slot of T8300/T8314 expander chassis. Wire field speed transducer cables to terminal assembly. Verify speed reading and protection alarm via Trusted Workbench engineering software.
