FunctionUV1ALCEX is explosion-proof non self-check ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It uses Geiger-Muller UV tube to capture ultraviolet flicker radiation from combustion flame and transmits flame signal to matched flame safeguard amplifier. This model has no continuous real-time self-check function, burner controller will check scanner integrity during each burner start and stop cycle. When flame extinguishes, flame signal disappears, burner system triggers safety lockout and cuts fuel supply to eliminate explosion risk. Explosion-proof housing is suitable for combustible gas hazardous zone. 72-inch pre-assembled shielded cable simplifies site wiring. Widely deployed for industrial boiler and furnace flame continuous monitoring in hazardous areas.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV1ALCEX onto burner sight port via 1/2 inch FNPT insulated coupling, align quartz viewing window toward flame. Keep lens free of soot and dust. Route 72-inch shielded cable to non-self-check UV burner chassis, strictly follow Fireye wiring schematic. Complete burner cycling test and flame signal strength calibration during commissioning. Verify hazardous area installation requirements are fully complied.
