System compatibility

UV1AL-3 belongs to Fireye UV1AL series flame scanner family. Compatible with Fireye MBCE, BurnerPRO and NXF4000 burner safeguard control systems. Works with standard burner sight tubes and mounting adapters for boilers, furnaces and kilns. This non-self-check scanner is designed for burners cycling at least once every 12 hours. Widely used for industrial combustion safety monitoring and spare replacement.

Function

UV1AL-3 is ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It captures ultraviolet radiation emitted by flame during combustion. This is non-self-check model, the safeguard controller automatically performs scanner fault detection on every burner cycle. It transmits flame present or flame loss signal to burner control chassis. If flame failure occurs, the safety interlock will cut fuel supply immediately to prevent accumulation of unburned fuel and explosion risk. The integrated short 3ft TC-ER shielded cable is suitable for compact burner installation with short wiring distance. Widely deployed for gas and light oil boiler burner flame monitoring and spare replacement.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV1AL-3 to burner sight port via 1/2"NPT thread. Aim quartz optical window toward flame zone. Route TC-ER shielded cable, connect red and black wires to S1/S2 terminals, connect drain wire to ground. Perform burner ignition commissioning, verify stable flame signal during normal firing.
