System compatibilitySB49600-90 belongs to Fireye SB series flame scanner family. Compatible with Fireye SB560xxAA flame safeguard controllers and Eclipse VeriFlame burner control system. Designed for intermittent cycling gas / oil industrial burners, commercial boilers and process heating furnaces. It is non self-check UV scanner, applicable for burners cycling at least once every 12 hours to exercise safety circuit. Widely used as spare replacement for combustion flame monitoring system.

FunctionSB49600-90 is 90-degree elbow UV flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It captures ultraviolet radiation emitted by burner flame and converts flame signal and transmits to SB series flame safeguard controller. The controller judges flame presence or loss according to received UV signal. The 90° elbow design is suitable for limited installation space where straight scanner cannot be mounted. Non self-check design, relies on regular burner cycling to complete safety verification. Magnifying lens accessory can be installed when flame signal is insufficient. Widely deployed for industrial boiler flame monitoring and spare replacement.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount SB49600-90 on burner sight port via 1/2" NPT thread. Align the 90° sight line to target flame zone, keep distance within 18 inch. Route shielded cable to SB controller terminals strictly follow Fireye wiring schematic. Complete flame signal strength test after commissioning. Add heat insulator if the mounting area has high ambient temperature.

InterfaceUV sensing lens,90° elbow body,1/2"NPT mounting thread,2-core signal wiring, anodized aluminum scanner housing for Fireye SB49600-90.

FeatureOriginal Fireye SB49600-90 90° elbow UV flame scanner, non self-check,185-260nm UV spectrum,1/2"NPT thread,UL & FM safety certified. This spare unit is used for industrial gas / oil boiler burner flame detection maintenance and hardware replacement, ideal for confined installation space.

DiagnosticLow flame signal: Inspect lens soot contamination, sight alignment, or install optional magnifying lens. No flame output signal: Check UV tube aging, wiring breakage and terminal connection. Intermittent flame signal: Verify high temperature thermal influence, vibration and cable shielding. Scanner overheat: Add heat insulation coupling, check furnace radiant heat transfer.

Product BriefSB49600-90 is Fireye 90-degree elbow non self-check UV flame scanner with 1/2"NPT thread, matched with SB series flame safeguard controllers, classic spare for gas and oil burner flame detection system.
