Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Install matched AC power supply and fan modules. Install VIM5 uplink module and transceiver if fiber uplink needed. Use Cat6A/Cat7 copper cables for multi-gigabit PoE terminals. Access console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, PoE profile, stacking, routing and Fabric Connect. Verify port connectivity and PoE power output after power-up.
