FunctionVSP4900-12MXU-12XE-B is enterprise multi-gigabit fabric switch for network edge and aggregation. It delivers 60W high-power PoE for wireless AP, IP camera and desktop terminals. It supports Layer2 switching, Layer3 routing, VLAN, QoS, ACL, MACsec encryption and Fabric Connect virtual networking. It monitors port link status, PoE power consumption, module temperature and fan status. It triggers alarm for power failure, port down, over-temperature and PoE overload. Used for replacing failed switch in enterprise campus network.

InstallationPower off before installation. Mount the unit into standard 19-inch rack. Install SFP transceivers into SFP+ slots and VIM5 uplink module into VIM5 slot. Connect power supply, Ethernet cables, console and management port. Configure VOSS operating system, fabric parameters, PoE profiles and VLAN settings. Verify all port status and network traffic before putting into production.
