System compatibility

V300HT-8P-2X belongs to V300 series hardened virtual port extender. It is not an independent standalone switch, requires compatible Extreme core switch to operate. Compatible with standard 1G /10G SFP+ transceivers. Fanless wide temperature design for harsh industrial environments. Function

V300HT-8P-2X is fanless industrial hardened PoE+ virtual port extender. 8 PoE+ copper ports supply power and data to IP cameras, wireless access points and industrial PoE terminals. Two SFP+ uplink ports support 1G or 10G fiber connection to main core switch. All control functions are offloaded to the parent ExtremeXOS core switch, simplifies network management. Supports 802.1X authentication, VLAN segmentation and hardware QoS. Fanless design eliminates fan failure risk, wide temperature range adapts to harsh industrial sites. Widely deployed for factory workshop, outdoor equipment cabinet and industrial edge PoE network expansion spare replacement.

Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount unit on DIN rail or equipment wall. Connect DC power supply. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceiver for fiber uplink and connect fiber cable to core switch. Access serial console port for basic diagnostic. Complete port configuration on parent ExtremeXOS core switch. Verify port connectivity and PoE output after power-up.
