FunctionX480-48T is stackable multi-layer gigabit access switch without PoE. It provides 48 copper gigabit ports for end-user access; the last four ports can switch to SFP fiber mode for fiber uplink. It supports wire-speed Layer2 switching,Layer3 routing,VLAN segmentation,STP/RSTP/MSTP,LACP link aggregation,ACL,QoS and multicast control. It monitors SFP DDM optical diagnostics,port link state,system temperature,power and fan health, and sends hardware fault alarms. Used for large enterprise campus and building aggregation networks.

InstallationMount the switch on standard 19-inch 1U rack. Install hot-swappable PSU and fan tray. Insert SFP transceivers and fiber cables if combo fiber mode is used. Install VIM2 uplink/stacking module as required. Connect console port for ExtremeXOS configuration. Verify boot,port link and stacking function before commissioning.
