System compatibility

4950GTS-PWR belongs to ERS4900 series. It can stack with ERS4926GTS /4950GTS series switches. Compatible with Extreme/Avaya certified SFP / SFP+ optical modules and DAC cables. Supports full Layer 3 routing, OSPF, RIP, VRRP, multicast protocols. Designed for enterprise campus, branch office large-scale wireless AP and IP camera access deployment.

Function

4950GTS-PWR is high power PoE+ gigabit routing switch for enterprise access layer. 48 PoE+ ports supply power and data to wireless access points, IP surveillance cameras and VoIP phones. Two SFP+ slots provide 1G or 10G high-speed fiber uplink to aggregation core switch. Dual hot-swappable power supplies realize power redundancy, avoid single power failure interruption. It supports VLAN, MSTP, 802.1X port security, LLDP, ACL and traffic QoS scheduling. Widely used for campus wireless coverage, multi-building IP video monitoring and large branch office wired network.

Installation

Mount the switch on standard 19-inch rack. Install one or two AC power supplies. Connect power cord. Use console cable for initial configuration. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceiver and fiber/DAC cable for uplink. Configure stacking group, PoE power allocation, VLAN and routing policies. Verify port link, PoE output and power supply status after power on.
