Emergent Vision HB-7000-S-M Industrial Area Scan Camera Unit

Module Feature

HB-7000-S-M belongs to Emergent Vision BOLT HB series high-speed industrial area scan camera, M stands for monochrome version.

It adopts Sony IMX420 Pregius S global shutter CMOS sensor, resolution 3208 × 2200 (7 million pixels), full resolution frame rate reaches 207.1fps. It uses SFP28 25GigE communication, supports RDMA and RoCEv2 low-latency transmission, compatible with GigE Vision 3.0 and GenICam standard, built-in IEEE1588 PTP precise time synchronization for multi-camera synchronous shooting. It has 3 input and 3 output GPIO trigger port, C-mount lens interface, optional IP67 protective housing. Widely used for electronic component inspection, packaging quality detection, sports motion capture and high-speed sorting equipment vision system.

Working principle

Global shutter sensor captures whole frame image at the same exposure moment to avoid motion blur.

The image data is transmitted to the industrial host computer through 25GigE optical or copper SFP28 link. The host vision software receives the image and completes feature recognition, measurement and defect judgment. External trigger signal can control exposure time and capture timing.

Onboard components

IMX420 CMOS sensor, image processing FPGA, 25G SFP28 transceiver module, GPIO trigger circuit, C-mount lens holder, power management circuit, cooling structure.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power status, link connection, trigger signal and fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Power-on self-test and continuous monitoring detect link loss, over-temperature, trigger signal error and internal hardware abnormality, error information can be read by vision software.

Programming software

eCapture, HALCON, OpenCV and other GenICam compatible vision software, configure exposure, trigger, network and acquisition parameters.

Installation

Fix camera on stable vision bracket, install C-mount lens and adjust focus.

Match SFP28 module and 25G network card, set IP and PTP synchronization parameters, connect trigger I/O cable as required, perform shutter and trigger test before formal inspection.

Interface

SFP28 25GigE port, 12V power & GPIO circular connector, C-mount lens port.

Diagnostic

No image transmission: SFP module abnormal, network card not support RDMA, IP segment mismatch. Image blur: Lens focus not calibrated, vibration of mounting bracket. Trigger out of sync: PTP clock not locked, trigger wiring error. Over-temperature alarm: Ambient temperature too high, insufficient ventilation.
