Beckhoff CX1000 Embedded PC Unit

Module Feature

CX1000 is Beckhoff early modular embedded PC controller. Equipped with 266MHz Pentium MMX compatible processor, fanless passive cooling structure. It uses PC104 expansion bus and needs to cooperate with CX1100 power module. It supports TwinCAT real-time runtime, can expand PROFIBUS, CANopen, SERCOS and other fieldbus modules, and matches KL series K-Bus terminals. It is widely used in medium and small automation control systems.

Working principle

The CPU executes TwinCAT real-time control program, exchanges data with I/O terminals through the backplane K-Bus. It realizes data interaction with HMI and upper computer via Ethernet, completes automatic functions such as logic operation, motion control and field signal collection.

Onboard components

X86 control core, RAM and Flash storage circuit, Ethernet circuit, serial communication circuit, PC104 expansion interface, status LED, plastic modular housing.

LED indicators

LEDs show power status, Ethernet link, communication running and storage access status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Diagnose bus faults, communication errors and hardware abnormalities through TwinCAT system diagnosis, view fault alarm information.

Programming software

Program development, configuration and debugging with Beckhoff TwinCAT software.

Installation

Stack CX1000 CPU, CX1100 power supply and expansion modules by PC104 bus, fix on DIN rail. Connect K-Bus terminals, Ethernet cable and power supply, download TwinCAT configuration after wiring inspection.

Diagnostic

K-Bus communication lost: poor contact of backplane or abnormal power supply. TwinCAT startup failure: CF card damage or runtime corruption. Network disconnection: cable damage, wrong IP configuration.
