System compatibility

XVME-240 belongs to XYCOM XVME series high density digital I/O module.

It installs in XYCOM VME chassis and cooperates with XVME series CPU and I/O modules.

Compatible with turbine,compressor and legacy DCS control systems via VME bus.

Commonly used for power plant,oil & gas,petrochemical old equipment maintenance and spare replacement.

Function

High density digital signal acquisition and control output for VME control rack.

64 bidirectional TTL I/O channels,each 8-bit port can be independently configured as input or output.

8 edge-selectable interrupt input lines,trigger VME interrupt once signal state changes,maskable by software.

8 flag output channels,can be used as external interrupt acknowledge signal or auxiliary control signal.

Read back I/O port status in real time,realize bidirectional digital signal interaction with external TTL devices.

Onboard self-test for I/O circuit,interrupt control unit,data bus and VME bus interface fault inspection.

Installation

Power off VME chassis.

Insert XVME-240 card into empty double-height VME slot,tighten front panel fixing screw.

Set base address,interrupt level and trigger edge via DIP switches and jumpers.

Connect field TTL signal wiring to front panel 100pin connector.

Power on chassis,run hardware self-test.

VME CPU scans bus,identifies the board and starts digital I/O operation.

Interface

VME P1 backplane connector,100pin front panel terminal,LED indicators:PASS,FAULT.

Feature

Double height VME high-density TTL DIO board,XYCOM XVME series.

80 total channels,flexible port direction configuration,suitable for large quantity TTL signal expansion.

Support rising/falling edge selection for interrupt input,interrupt mask control to filter unwanted trigger.

Flag output can cooperate with interrupt circuit to realize handshake communication with external equipment.

VME slave interface,easy plug-in installation.

Discontinued obsolete VME module,supply only for old production system spare replacement.

Vibration resistant PCB design,suitable for turbine control cabinet.

Diagnostic

FAULT LED on:I/O circuit damage or VME bus communication failure;

Cannot be identified by CPU:check VME backplane contact and base address DIP switch setting;

Interrupt cannot trigger:verify edge jumper selection,interrupt mask register and interrupt level configuration;

Port read/write abnormal:check TTL signal wiring and external load current.

Product Brief

XYCOM XVME-240 is legacy VMEbus 80-channel high density TTL digital I/O module.

It provides large capacity bidirectional TTL signal acquisition and control with edge interrupt and flag output for VME control rack,widely used as spare part for turbine and compressor control,petrochemical and power plant old DCS renovation.
