Module Feature

RUGGEDMAX is Siemon Industrial MAX series sealed rugged RJ45 outlet system. It integrates standard MAX series copper jack core with patented industrial thermoplastic protective shell. Adopts quarter-turn bayonet locking structure, simple twist to lock and form IP67 waterproof and dustproof seal. The housing resists cleaning chemicals, oil and solvent corrosion, can withstand high-pressure washdown work scenes. It supports Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A shielded / unshielded modules, retains the electrical transmission performance of commercial-grade MAX jack while adding heavy environmental protection. Widely deployed in food processing, beverage packaging, pharmaceutical clean workshop, conveyor automation, outdoor industrial network and marine auxiliary network.

Working principle

The internal MAX contact module completes differential signal transmission of Ethernet. The outer rugged shell and sealing gasket isolate dust, water and cleaning liquid. Bayonet locking prevents accidental loosening caused by vibration and impact. When the matching rugged plug is twisted and locked, the internal sealing ring compresses to form a closed protection cavity, ensuring stable network communication under wet, dusty and high vibration conditions.

LED indicators

No built‑in LED indicators. Status indication depends on the connected switch port.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

The outlet itself has no electronic self-check. Upper network switch judges link failure by loss of carrier signal. Maintenance items include shell crack, seal aging, contact contamination and bayonet locking function.

Programming software

No configuration software, passive network connectivity component.

Installation

Install the outlet body into bulkhead or matching surface mount box. Terminate twisted pair cable to MAX jack module, assemble sealing gasket and outer shell. Twist the mating rugged plug to lock, confirm IP seal is closed, perform link test after wiring.

Interface

RJ45 front mating interface, rear IDC termination port, bayonet locking mechanical interface.

Diagnostic

Network link unstable:Seal failure, water ingress, contact oxidation, bayonet not fully locked. Cannot lock:Bayonet thread debris jam or shell deformation. Communication slow:Wrong category jack mismatched with cable.
