System compatibility

T8424C belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system and installs inside T8300 or T8314 expander rack. It collects 120VAC discrete status signals from field safety switches and contact sensors,transmits triplicated validated input data to expander processor. The conformal coating protects PCB circuits from moisture,chemical vapour and dust,suitable for offshore and heavy industrial sites. Widely deployed in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical plants for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8424C serves as high integrity 16-channel 120VAC digital input unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It samples field AC discrete signals and adopts TMR 2oo3 hardware voting logic to judge real input state. Each channel continuously monitors open circuit and short circuit wiring faults. It supports hot swap replacement without shutting down the safety expansion rack.

Installation

Insert T8424C vertically into dedicated I/O slot of T8300/T8314 expander chassis. Wire field AC signal cables to the corresponding terminal assembly. Verify channel health and fault alarms via Trusted Workbench engineering software.
