System compatibility

T8423C belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system and installs inside T8300 or T8314 expander rack. It acquires 120VDC discrete signals from field safety switches and contact devices,transmits triplicated validated input data to expander processor. The conformal coating protects PCB circuits against moisture,chemical vapour and dust for offshore or heavy industrial applications. Widely deployed in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical plants for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8423C serves as high integrity 16-channel 120V digital input unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It samples field 120VDC discrete signals and adopts TMR 2oo3 hardware voting logic to judge real input status. Each channel continuously monitors open circuit and short circuit faults. It supports hot swap replacement without powering down the safety expansion rack.

Installation

Insert T8423C vertically into dedicated I/O slot of T8300/T8314 expander chassis. Connect field wiring to the corresponding terminal assembly. Verify channel health and fault alarms via Trusted Workbench engineering software.
