Function

Function description: RCN2390F is absolute angle encoder manufactured by HEIDENHAIN. Hollow shaft design allows direct mounting on rotary table axis. It delivers absolute angular position data through EnDat22 serial bus, CNC can read exact angle position immediately after power-up without homing procedure. Rugged metal housing protects optical components from vibration, coolant mist and metal chips. It is high precision rotary axis position measuring spare for heavy CNC boring mills.

Installation

Installation steps: Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off encoder control power. Install encoder onto rotary hollow shaft, fix axial and radial positioning. Connect shielded encoder signal cable to CNC or drive EnDat interface. Restore power, verify POWER and COM LED indicators, run encoder diagnostic and check absolute angle reading.
