Products Description

HEIDENHAIN ERN1130 600 Incremental Rotary Encoder

Technical Specifications

Model:ERN1130 600 Brand:HEIDENHAIN Product Type: Bearing-integrated incremental optical rotary encoder

Module Feature

Function: HEIDENHAIN ERN1130 600 is incremental rotary encoder equipped with built-in precision bearing. It outputs 1Vpp sine/cosine A/B/Z incremental measuring signals, 600 lines per revolution. It adopts solid shaft design, must connect with motor shaft by external flexible coupling to compensate axial and radial installation misalignment. Max mechanical rotational speed up to 12000 rpm, operating temperature range -20℃ ~ +85℃. Widely used on heavy horizontal boring mills, machining centers and elevator traction machines for spindle and servo motor closed-loop position & speed measurement.

Measuring principle: Incremental optical scanning Incremental lines: 600 lines per revolution Output Signal: 1 Vpp sine/cosine incremental signals + reference mark Z pulse Shaft specification: Solid shaft, external flexible coupling required Onboard components: Optical grating disc, scanning assembly, built-in bearing, metal housing, signal connector

LED indicators: Not equipped on encoder body

Hardware self-diagnosis

Signal amplitude test, reference mark detection, bearing noise inspection, signal waveform monitoring

Programming software

HEIDENHAIN diagnostic software for encoder parameter reading and signal waveform analysis

Electrical Parameters

Supply voltage: 5VDC ±5% Power consumption: ≤180mA

Mechanical & Structure

Mounting: Synchro flange mounting, solid shaft connected via flexible coupling Protection class: IP64 (housing)

Environmental

Operating temperature: -20℃ ~ +85℃ Ambient humidity: 5~85% non-condensing Certification: CE Status: HEIDENHAIN heavy-duty incremental rotary encoder

System compatibility

Compatibility description: ERN1130 series encoder compatible with HEIDENHAIN EXE interpolation units and CNC drives supporting 1Vpp sinusoidal input. Suitable for Fives Giddings & Lewis PIC900 CNC heavy boring mill spindle and feed axis.

Function

Function description: ERN1130 600 is incremental rotary encoder manufactured by HEIDENHAIN. It delivers high-quality sine/cosine incremental signals for electronic interpolation to achieve higher resolution. Reference mark Z pulse establishes machine datum after power cycle. External flexible coupling isolates mechanical misalignment and protects encoder internal bearing. Compact metal housing withstands dust and vibration in machine workshop. It is core measuring spare for heavy CNC boring mill and elevator traction motion control.

Installation

Installation steps: Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off all power supply. Fix encoder synchro flange, mount flexible coupling between encoder solid shaft and machine shaft. Connect shielded encoder cable to interpolation or CNC control unit. Adjust coupling alignment, lock all fasteners. Restore power, run signal amplitude test and reference mark detection test.

Interface

Interface list: Signal connector, 5VDC power and 1Vpp measuring signal terminals, no LED indicators on ERN1130 600.

Diagnostic

Troubleshooting: No measuring signal: Check 5V power supply, cable breakage or connector pin contact. Reference mark cannot be detected: Optical window contamination or coupling misalignment. Intermittent signal fluctuation: Vibration, coupling wear or bearing deterioration.
